What is ACM-W?
The ACM-W (Association for Computing Machinery’s Women in Computing) is a global program
that encourages, celebrates, and advocates for women’s full participation in all aspects of computing.
ACM-W offers women a variety of opportunities to network, advance, and achieve in computing-
related careers. ACM-W supports women at all stages of their academic and professional lives
through local chapters, conferences, mentoring, and a variety of professional development
opportunities. Our efforts are focused on creating an inclusive and equal environment in which
women in computing can thrive. Whether you’re a student, instructor, or professional, ACM-W seeks
to break down barriers, foster cooperation, and develop leadership in the computing industry.
Our Mission
To encourage women’s participation and advancement in computing by offering a forum
for cooperation, networking, and mentoring. ACM-W is dedicated to providing an atmosphere in
which women may pursue their passions in technology while being recognized for their achievements.
